CAMPS is hiring: Geospatial Data & Socio-Spatial Research Analyst

We are looking for a Geospatial Data & Socio-Spatial Research Analyst to join CAMPS – Comparative Atlas of Long-term Refugee Settlements, an ERC Starting Grant based at ETSAB–UPC in Barcelona.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and analysis of CAMPS’ growing geospatial database of long-term refugee settlements worldwide. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the role will combine GIS and spatial analysis, geospatial data management, spatial databases and FAIR research data, helping us connect large-scale spatial datasets and remote-sensing outputs with the social and territorial analysis of refugee settlements.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong geospatial skills and an interest in human settlements, urban and territorial analysis, migration and forced displacement, humanitarian contexts, or related fields.

The researcher will work closely with the CAMPS remote-sensing and GeoAI team and contribute to the production of comparative spatial analyses, maps, datasets and research outputs for the CAMPS Atlas and scientific publications.
